Sources & Methodology

Every investigation on Lethometry is built from primary sources, peer-reviewed research, and declassified materials. This page explains how we source, verify, and cite, then gives you the actual documents and footage to check.

Lethometry is an independent research archive. We do not originate claims from thin air. Each piece examines existing evidence and builds a case you can check yourself. Below are the source categories we draw from, our verification standards, and a live index of the primary records and documentary footage behind the archive.

Source categories

  • Declassified government records — FOIA releases, AARO reports, congressional testimony, and presidential unsealing programs.
  • Peer-reviewed research — physics, neuroscience, philosophy of mind, and complexity papers from indexed journals.
  • Primary historical documents — patents, engineering schematics, and contemporaneous accounts.
  • Public datasets — cosmological surveys, anomaly databases, and open scientific repositories.
  • Witness and field reporting — corroborated first-hand accounts, used only where independently supportable.

Verification standards

  • Claims are traced to a named, linkable source wherever one exists.
  • Secondary reporting is flagged as such and linked to the underlying primary document.
  • Conflicting evidence is presented rather than buried.
  • Speculation is labeled as hypothesis, not fact.
